Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen join Taylor Swift's squad
The fanboy world has taken a surprising twist as a couple of nerd-universe heroes -- “X-Men” costars” Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen -- have requested and been granted membership to Taylor Swift’s squad of celebrity fans.
When NPR’s “Ask Me Another” program asked the celebrated British actors to deliver dramatic readings of pop music lyrics this week, Stewart read Swift’s “Blank Space” and McKellen intoned “Bad Blood.”
Stewart then took to Twitter to alert the songs’ writer: “So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?”
