Co-editor Marc Weingarten discusses his new book, Here She Comes Now: Women in Music Who Have Changed Our Lives, with panelists Ian Daly, Marisa Silver and Felicia Luna Lemus. The mostly female writers in the anthology explore personal, global and feminist issues in essays that pay tribute to pop and rock heroines, including Madonna, Patti Smith, Nina Simone, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton, Mary J. Blige, Ronnie Spector – even Taylor Swift – and British folk singer Sandy Denny, front woman of the Fairport Convention. Weingarten is an L.A. author and also co-editor of the excellent 2013 book on prog rock Yes Is the Answer.
